Day Use Area
Are you looking for a entry point for Pine Island Bayou that provides easy access for taking a paddle up or down the Bayou? There is a single restroom and day parking for 6 or more cars including the handicapped parking pad pictured below.
Watch for low water periods as you will have to wade through about 5 feet of mud to get to the water from the parking lot.
I
do not personally find this area a particularly interesting one for paddling.
It does have the typical Big Thicket shoreline for this part of the river.
It provide some nice diversity if you are looking for a "different"
access to the Bayou.
