Cooks Lake Day Use Area

Cooks Lake Day Use Area gives you handy access to a small Pine Island Bayou picnic area. The bank is fairly steep in the major part of the park, but it would be possible to launch a kayak or canoe over its edge. You also are right by a small creek heading north that can provide some basic paddling. For ease of access you are probably better off to go to the I96 State Boat Ramp just a short distance to the West.
