Directions to Confluence Boat Ramp

The Confluence Boat Ramp is a short drive from Beaumont, Texas. Taking Interstate 10 east , it is about 4.8 miles from the Neches River (N30° 05.675 W094°05.439)to the exit for State Road 105 north at Vidor (N30°07.822 W094°01.069). Go north on 105, 3.9 miles to the traffic light to turn left or back east on State Road 1131 (N30°11.226 W094°01.396). Travel 3.4 miles and turn left from 1131 onto Oaks Ranch Road (N30°11.896 W094°04.549. You will pass the National Parks 4 Oaks recreation area (N30°11.265 W094°06.000at about 1.6 miles from that turn. 4 Oaks is a simple turnaround by the river with no facilities and a steep bank to the river. Continue on this road 3.5 miles from your turn at Oaks Ranch Road. As you get closer to the ramp you will curve around water on several sides and jogging around pot holes as you move along until you see the Confluence Boat Ramp on your right (N30°09.690 W094°06.825).

From the Confluence Boat Ramp you can access a variety of paddling areas along the Neches River. Pine Island Bayou is just a across the Neches river to the West. Cooks Lake is a short distance up Pine Island Bayou and offers some easy flat water paddling. Traveling up the Neches from the Confluence Ramp you will come to Scatterman Lake to the east. One of the only public swimming beach areas on the Neches, Lakeview Sandbar, a great swimming beach (no lifeguards) is a short trip up the river.
