Cooks Lake

The weather was close to perfect on our trip from the SWB going up the Neches to Pine Island Bayou to Cooks Lake to Scattermans Lake and back to the Neches. The current was slow and the wind was just strong enough to discourage the insects even through the swamps..

      We had a large group with us and several folks went their own ways as we headed into Cooks Lake. The group to the left is heading toward the Madonna Tree.
