Village Creek

One of the most pleasant flat-water river trips in Texas is just a few miles of Beaumont and runs into the Neches River--Village Creek. The head waters of the river rise near the Alabama-Coushatta Indiana Reservation between Livingston and Woodville, Texas. The stream snakes its way for 63-miles through the Southeast part of the State before it empties into the Neches River just a few miles upstream from the Beaumont Country Club. This stream provides opportunities for trips ranging from a few hours to a few days. Powder white sandbars provide picnic and camping grounds for travelers floating down the river. As with all river and stream travel, care should be taken to watch for heavy rainfall that can develop powerful current and flood stream boarders.

There are multiple areas to enter the park with roadside ramps by road bridges.
